Perry Speaks at Gift of Life
Texas Governor Rick Perry spoke before the premiere of Mike Huckabee's new documentary, The Gift of Life, at the Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, IA on 12/14/11.
Huckabee's film Gift of Life, aims to promotes legislative action meant to overturn Roe v. Wade. Gov. Perry speaks of defunding Planned Parenthood in Texas and Obama's attack accusing Texas of violating Federal law. Perry promises that he will not back down and fight back.
“I can assure you one thing,” Perry said. “If Washington, D.C. is looking for a fight, they found one; I’m not going to back down from this fight as governor and if I have the great honor to be the president of the United States, you can bet I won’t back down as your president either,” Perry said.

A Man of Honor
Aesop has a Fable - "The Ass and His Purchaser"
Gov. Rick Perry has released a video that shows the type of men he keeps company with. They are men of honor, in fact, they are Men of the Highest Honor this Nation can bestow upon any of our Citizen Soldiers, they are Navy Cross recipients and Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. These men share many of the same characteristics, Duty, Honor, Heroism and they all support Gov. Perry For President and above that, they all call him "Friend".
So judge Rick Perry as Aesop 'Purchaser' did. He is the man, in the words of his friends, "who is the best person to serve as the Commander in Chief; to serve as the President of the United States". A Man of Honor.
A man wished to purchase an Ass (a Donkey), and decided to give the animal a test before buying him. He took the Ass home and put him in the field with his other Asses. In Texas we have a saying that follows Aesop's story, "Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are". When we look to a Presidential candidate we should look at his friends and who his supporters are because it speaks to their character. Do they 'pal around with an un-repentant domestic terrorist'? Have they done business with companies that have profited from the economic melt-down?
The new Ass strayed from the others to join the one that was the laziest and the biggest eater of them all.
Seeing this, the man led him back to his owner. When the owner asked how he could have tested the Ass in such a short time, the man answered, "I didn't even need to see how he worked. I knew he would be just like the one he chose to be his friend."

Perry and Jobs
What more needs to be said?
Under Perry’s leadership, Texas has gained more than one million jobs while the rest of the nation lost over two million jobs. Since June 2009, nearly 40% of all net new American jobs have been created in his home state.
As president, Rick Perry will jolt our economy back to life with his Cut, Balance and Grow plan. It cuts taxes and spending, balances our budget by 2020 and grows millions of new jobs.
Perry will give every American the option to throw out the current tax code and instead pay a simple 20% flat tax that can be filed on a postcard. He will cut taxes on employers and repeal job-killing regulations – such as ObamaCare – that are strangling growth.
And he will open American energy fields to domestic exploration and development, which will lower energy prices, decrease our reliance on foreign oil and create more than one million new jobs.
Perry: when I'm President
Washington is broken and must be completely overhauled to get America working again.
The tinkering technocrats think Washington can be fixed with a pair of tweezers. I, on the other hand, think it will require a president with the courage to take a sledgehammer to the three pillars of big government: overspending, overtaxation and overregulation.
Upon taking the oath of office, I will take immediate executive action to begin dismantling the Washington establishment so we can rebuild the American economy from the foundation up.

#PerryReboot
A new #Tag is born.
Last night, during the Mike Huckabee Presidential Forum a new Twitter Hashtag was born: #Perryreboot.
As Herman Cain has bowed out of the race and his supporters are looking for a new home the Perry camp has launched a re-boot and is asking GOP Primary voters to take another look.
But can you really call it a re-boot? Gov. Perry is still the same man he has always been, which is funny when you consider Romney and Gingrich are having to spend so much time and money trying to convince us that they are not the same men they used to be. So if you're a homeless Cain supporter, or just not sure where to go, come take a look at the Governor, because, well, he doesn't have to convince you he's a "Changed Man".
He plans to

" I’ve lived a purpose-driven life and my purpose was never to be President of the United States, but our country’s in trouble,” Gov. Perry said. “Our country needs us working together to take our country back. I hope again that you’ll take a look at my plan and give me that second opportunity and I’ll promise you that every day I will work to make Washington, D.C., as inconsequential in your life as I can.”Over the last few weeks, Gov. Perry has unveiled a series of plans he will implement to help create American jobs, transform Washington, D.C., and repair the damage President Obama’s failed economic proposals have had on the American people.
He plans to
- Overhaul Washington by establishing a Part-Time Congress and make them live under the laws they create.
- End lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court.
- Cut, Cap and Balance the Federal Budget
- Secure our Southern Border
- and most importantly, CREATE JOBS!
